Asia Bibi

I ask for prayers for Asia Bibi, a Christian in Pakistan sentenced to death under Pakistan’s blasphemy law. She’s appealed her sentence to the Pakistani Supreme Court in a last effort, as Pakistani courts upheld her sentence in October.  Please pray that her sentence would be overturned and that she’d be released, and also that God’s name would be glorified in this situation. Asia has a husband and five children. Also, prayers for strength (spiritually, mentally, and physically), courage, comfort, and peace for her and her family.

    • Thank you! That’s exactly why I post awareness for imprisoned Christians. To encourage others to pray for their release, for God’s name to be glorified, and for strength for them and their families.

      Thanks again.

      • I fear for all Christians in a society that opposes Christianity. Your blog brings these from the back of our minds to front and center. Thank you for allowing us to realize how blessed we are to live in what was began as a Christian nation and have the right to worship the one true god.

  1. My heart breaks for Asia. I’ve read her book , “Blasphemy,” and to see what has happened to her as the result of trying to earn a day’s wage is outrageous! I can’t imagine being away from her 5 children for more than 5 years, with no prospect of a change anytime soon. But God is able, and I know He’s doing something amazing that we can’t see because of Asia’s faithfulness. Thank you for spreading the word about persecution in the world. Too many people don’t know anything about it!

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
