I heard a short message by Pastor Randy Ayres, and really liked what he had to say. It went something like this:
God could have made you anyone He wanted, placed you anywhere He wanted, at any time in history. He chose you to be you, at this time in history, exactly where you are in the world. Why? Because He has a plan for your life.
That’s not word for word, but it’s the gist. And I think it’s an excellent point. Don’t you think that since He put so much thought into who you are, where you are in history, and where you are in the world, that He’d have a wonderful, exquisite plan for your life? Jeremiah 29:11 “’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you, and not to harm you; plans to give you hope and a future.’” Doesn’t matter where you are in life. Surrender your life to God right now, and He’ll get you on track and help you follow His plan for your life. We’re not meant to live this life alone. God is always by our side, helping us along the way. Simply turn your life over to Him.
I challenge you to live this week (and every week you’re given on earth) being thankful for who you are. I challenge you to live life to the fullest, because you know that God created you because He wanted YOU to make a positive difference in the world. He created you and calls you to be a light in the dark. In the inspiring words of William Carey, “Expect great things from God. Attempt great things for God.”
Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
